The Story Behind Rose Green Tea

The base ingredient of Sencha Rose Green Tea is Gunpowder Tea. This is where workers shape the leaves into small, round pellets that, when placed in hot water to steep, unfurl before your eyes.

First created in the Chinese Zhejiang Province, it has since spread to Anhui, Hunan and Fujian. There is also Formosa Gunpowder, which originates from Taiwan, and Moroccan Mint Tea, a blend popular in Morocco. 

Meanwhile, Rose Petals Tea comes from the Rose (Rosa) plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. It produces rosebuds that consist of four or five petals, each divided into two distinct lobes.
