Light Roast Coffee Beans

Light Medium Roast Coffees have, in recent years, become increasingly popular. This is for many reasons, but perhaps mostly because lighter roasts preserve the unique characteristics of the bean. Those who choose this type can expect flavour notes most reminiscent of the Coffee’s original taste before roasting.

Often, they consist of a light brown colour, with no oil on the surface of the beans. When brewed, they most commonly boast a mellow body with crisp acidity.

So other than that, why should you buy Light Medium Roast Coffee Beans over any other type? What else makes them so special, so unique? Let’s start at the beginning with the roasting stage itself.

Coffee beans pop, crack and expand when subjected to heats between 350 °F – 400 °F, a phenomenon known as the “first crack”. As a rule of thumb, lighter roasts are seldom roasted beyond the first crack. This ultimately has a significant influence on your morning cuppa.

The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company, in particular, have been Coffee roasting experts for over 30 years. What’s more, we pack all of our Light Medium Roast Coffee Beans fresh to order. This ensures not only quality but also consistency. Start your adventure today.

In addition to the unparalleled freshness and expertly curated roasting process, Light Medium Roast Coffees offer a gateway to the most sophisticated flavour profiles that coffee enthusiasts crave. From fruity and floral undertones to hints of caramel and honey, the complexity of each cup provides an exquisite and nuanced tasting experience.

This roast level is particularly well-suited for those who prefer a brighter, more intricate coffee that allows the genuine characteristics of the coffee bean to shine through. It’s not just a cup of coffee, it’s an adventure in every sip.
