This is the product of the roasting stage itself. Tow of our popular dark roasts are our Italian Coffee<\/a> and\u00a0<\/span>Continental Coffee<\/a>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/span>Coffee beans pop, crack and expand at various stages during roasting. Medium-Dark Roast Coffees, in particular, are created during what is known as the \u2018second crack\u2019. This takes place when the beans are subjected to heats between 435\u00b0F and 445\u00b0F. <\/span>\r\n\r\nOnce complete, this process gives the Coffee a darker colour with oil beginning to show on the surface. In terms of flavour, it brings about a distinct bittersweet taste with occasional spicy
