How the Swiss Water Process Works

• Soaking: Hot water is used to soak the green coffee beans and draw out the caffeine and other soluble components.

How Much Caffeine is Removed Through the Process

At the end of the Swiss Water Process, 99.9% of the original caffeine content is removed from the coffee beans. This means the remaining caffeine is only in trace amounts, typically less than 0.1% of the original content.
